Wrap up

Image
It was a great trip to Mallorca with some learnings for our Gibraltar-Nordkap tour in 5 weeks. We were riding the bike for 26 hours (during 6 days) and drove 555 km with 6475 AM.  To go into statistics - we did 19.6% of the AM, but only 10% of the distance. It looks like we have to drive longer throughout the days ... 5 weeks to go. See you all back end of April. Few photos from Alcudia and our dinner at Finca Monnaber Nou, Campanet.

Last Training Day

Before returning our nice Cube Bikes we did again Kloster Lluc, then down to Pollenca and back to our Finca Monnabour. We did 55km wit 850AM and an average speed close to 21km/h.  Now we bring our bikes back and do some sightseeing in Alcudia.

Shorty

Feels like a short day after yesterdays altitude meters. We went shopping almonds in the morning and started a short bike tour with 80km and 500AM around lunchtime. That's it! See you tomorrow.

Malle, 4thDay

Image
We started early today (30 minutes earlier than yesterday...). Wheather is still authem and wind chilly to low. First we did the famous Kloster Lluc. Many bike rider and tourist busses had the same idea. We had a short break at the gaz station and went on direction to Soller. Nice route with 2 lakes and many up and down hills. Soller is at 56m above sealevel and a nice place to rest. But many many tourists had the same idea. After a nice break in front of the Cathedral we drove back using the Coll de Soller as we bike riders are not allowd to use the tunnel. A real painful mountain which never ended. Finally we made it and dove back via Santa Maria, Binissalem, Lloseta, Selva to our Finca close to Campanet. Good ride with 105km and 1850 AM. Average speed was slighly below what we need for the Nordkap.....

So trainieren die Daheimgebliebenen....

3rd day biking on Malle. Started late today at 10am, but did ok for the day performance. 1000AM and 120km with average speed above 23km/h. We had a good Tapas lunch at 2pm in Arta. You see below the photos.  We started as usual in Campanet, drove through Sa Pablo,  Muro, Santa Margalida towards Petra. We used several new Cami roads before using our famous Cami sa Vall down to Manacor. This time we drove the 3322 to meet the main road 12 to Arta. Good choice! Arta is a wonderful small city with a nice Church and Castle (and many good restaurants...).  After our lunch we drove back enjoying the sunshine and nice streets. Always fun to drive here. Finally, the main title goes to Petra for supprting the name of the tree we (Stefan and Norbert) always forget. We pass fields of this nice tree every time we visit Malle, and always make new photos.... It's time for dinner now....
