Ferry: Stockholm to Turku

Special News:  Took today the Viking Ferry Line from Stockholm to Turku / Finland. Spent about 10 hours on the ferry.

Backstage Information: Finland is one hour ahead!!!

Starting point (A): Bredäng Camping, Stockholm

Ending point (B): Zoolandia Camping, Vintala Finland

Yesterday evening we packed everythink to be able to drive to the Viking Line early in the morning. We started at 5:45am and due to some closed roads we arrived at the terminal at 6:45 am. On time start was 7:45 am and now we are spending individual time on this big Ferry. The ferry has 12 level with shopping center, bars and restaurants and a wellness club. They did many programs for the traveller like Bingo, Karaoke and several kids program.

We saw again our Baltic Sea biker. He made it on time to catch the same ferry.

You can see different snapshots of our Ferry standpoint. It was very windy outside but Alois and myself found a good place to relax in the back of the ship. Klaus and Stefan are inside and learning Italien and doing Sudoko.

Later Alois learnt Sudoko from Master Stefan and is now on a fast track to get an first class expert.

Ferry had a stop at the Åland Island. Arrived at Turku 7:45pm and drove to the camping site for tonight. Only 3 Camper on this site..... wonderful sundown at 10:30pm.

Plan to start biking again tomorrow morning. We pray for good weather ...

We are here at 10am. Finland time 11am.

  1. Gute Fahrt durch die letzte Wildnis Europas. Lasst aber die Bären in Ruhe. Nehmt lieber die Lappen!

  2. I’m surprised that the camping yards are so empty in the summer.

    1. We too! Yesterday the camping site was completely occupied. Probably because it was Saturday. Now it is getting emptier again.
