Vättern
Special News: we did sofar 1080 km and 5438 HM (meters of elevation gain). I think this is a good milestone!!
Backstage Information: some may be surprised or may have recognized that we do not let grow our beards. Last year everybody of the team was committed to let grow until we reach the North Cap. This year it is different. I lost 1:3 and will be the only one with a growing beard. Maybe my friends want to look gorgeous when we reach the Nort Cape ... ???
Starting point (A): Camping Place, Vättermålen
Ending point (B): First Camp, Linköping
We started with 12oC and drizzling rain. When making a break it gets very cold as every part of the clothes are wet. Just getting it done is the best way to get through this weather. After 90km it stopped raining and the mood got better every minute. Expecting the bad weather we planned today for 110km. We just did it.
2 days with 240km to go to reach Stockholm and the ferry to Finland.
Most of our tour today was following the second largest lake of Sweden - Vättern. The length of this lake is 135km. Very impressive dam system according to Alois. See the photos from him about the Göta Channel.
Alois visited in the meantime the Göta Channel.
Had a great dinner created by chief cooks Alois and Stefan. Delicious!!
